Client Commission

This bespoke private portrait commission showcases Cathy's ability to transform treasured photographs into meaningful and highly personalised works of art. Working from a simple, scruffy photograph, Cathy reimagined Wilf as a distinguished gentleman, surrounded by an abundance of opulent flowers, the composition combines elegance, warmth, and storytelling. Rich botanical elements frame the portrait, and to make the artwork even more personal, Cathy incorporated a view of Wilf's hometown of Market Harborough, creating a lasting connection to the place that held special significance in his life.

Mothers Who Have Lost

In 2019, Cathy created a powerful series of large-scale oil paintings exploring the profound experience of motherhood, loss, and remembrance. Through a collection of deeply personal and emotive works, she sought to give voice to the stories of mothers who have experienced the loss of a child, capturing both the heartbreak and resilience that accompany such life-changing journeys.

Executed on a monumental scale, the paintings combine expressive brushwork, rich colour, and symbolic imagery to create works that are both intimate and impactful. Each piece invites reflection, encouraging viewers to engage with themes of love, grief, strength, and hope.
